How to turn your bedroom into a sanctuary
Our co-founder, Joe Molloy, has been speaking with Red magazine online sharing his top tips to create yourself a relaxing, hotel worthy bedroom.
“Your bedroom needs to be a place of peace and quiet, a place of escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday. It’s so easy to let laundry pile up and children creep in but if you can, protect your bedroom and instead create a sanctuary: a sacred space for you to rest, relax and then repeat.”
“Joe Molloy, Founder Director of Tielle Love Luxury talks us through his top tips to help a bedroom you can’t help but relax in…
1. Colour and texture
Top quality 100% cotton white bed linen creates the perfect timeless look and helps promotes inner calm.
Duvets should be light and warm –allowing maximum freedom of movement and breathability. Your pillows always such a personal choice also need to have the correct combination of support and softness for the perfect night’s sleep. Arguably the most important element of all. We have had customers describe their new pillow as “life changing”
3. Furniture and accessories
The mattress should be your biggest investment – you really get what you pay for so spend as much as you can afford so you don’t compromise on comfort. Rest assured though a good quality mattress topper can vastly improve the comfort of any mattress and is worth considering.
4. Linen and soft furnishings
Clean white bedlinen with simple, classic textures that act as a backdrop will create a haven of peace and calm, an absolute essential for a good night’s sleep. Bedcovers should always be oversized to drape towards the floor and extra-large pillows with super king size beds mean you can spread out and feel totally cocooned.
5. Thread Count
Whether a crisp 200 or silky 300, 400 or even 600 sateen your investment in the best quality bed linen you can afford is an investment in your and your health and will be with you for years to come.
